John Curry

Co-Founder & CEO

John is Sétanta’s CEO, responsible for capital market strategies, loan originations, and relationship management.  John previously co-founded a similar platform providing financing options for qualified residential developers. Prior to that, he served as General Counsel at a private equity group focused on single-family residential development.  A native of Ireland, John holds law degrees from Duke University and University College Dublin.

Rob Davenport

Co-Founder & COO

Rob is Sétanta’s COO, responsible for asset management, underwriting, and investor communications.  Rob is a 15-year industry veteran, having held leadership positions across multiple residential development disciplines.  His experience includes directly developing several residential neighborhoods, managing a $600MM portfolio of master-planned communities, and starting a homebuilding company and later selling that company to a large regional builder.  Rob holds an MBA and undergraduate degrees in Economics and American History, all from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

James Loyd

Director | Originations

Jim is Sétanta’s Director of Originations with national responsibility for new and recurring loan production, transaction structuring, and client relationships. He began his career in residential real estate finance with a top-5 publicly traded bank in Washington, D.C. before returning to his hometown of Charlotte, NC. In his nearly 20 years of industry experience, he has held various real estate finance, debt underwriting, distressed asset advisory and business development roles for national firms with primary responsibility over Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern geography. His asset class exposure includes land acquisition and development, production homebuilding, custom homebuilding, infill project development and built-for-rent transactions. Jim holds a BA in Economics from The University of North Carolina and an NC Real Estate Broker’s License.

Shaun Sanders

Director | Loan Operations

As Sétanta’s Director of Loan Operations, Shaun is responsible for creating efficient processes in support of company growth, and in compliance with investor guidelines, while managing production and associate development.  Shaun is a dedicated Finance and Operations professional with over 20 years of diverse experience in the investment banking and securities industries providing valuable financial insights and influencing the delivery of commitments & strategies; previously serving as the senior finance director for underwriting and asset management businesses, inclusive of CRE assets, at a global investment bank. In addition, Shaun owns a real estate investment and homebuilding business as a licensed general contractor.  Shaun holds a Real Estate and Finance MBA from UNC-Chapel Hill, a Finance BBA from the University of Kentucky, as well as Construction Management and CRE Investment certifications from Columbia University and MIT.

Mark Neacy

Senior Asset Manager

Mark is Sétanta’s Senior Asset Manager and is responsible for active loan oversight and underwriting of investment opportunities. Having previously worked for Spire Residential Capital, providing financing options to residential developers, Mark also has a background in equity investments having worked as a portfolio manager for Ireland’s largest stockbroking and wealth management firm. Mark holds Masters degrees in both Finance and Management Consulting from University College Dublin and the Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.

Domhnall Minogue

Asset Manager

Domhnall is a member of the Sétanta Asset Management team and is responsible for active loan management and the analysis of investment opportunities. Having previously worked for Spire Residential Capital, providing financing options to residential developers, Domhnall has a background in the financing of land development and the related Asset Management. Domhnall also has a background in banking, having previously held a middle-office Operations role with Bank of America. Domhnall holds a master’s degree in finance from Wingate University and a B.S. in Business Administrations from Catawba College.

Brian Pack

Asset Manager

Brian is an Asset Manager who works within Sétanta’s Asset Management team to underwrite investment opportunities for potential and existing clients. Before entering the real estate finance industry, Brian worked in the telecommunications and transportation industries, where he helped form and manage teams to help his companies engage in new business ventures. Brian attended Ohio Dominican University where he majored in English.

Cassandra Cassidy

Asset Manager

Cassandra is an Asset Manager at Sétanta where she focuses on the management of new investment opportunities. Previously, Cassandra worked in real estate finance at Spire Residential Capital and in practice management for an Am Law 100 firm. Cassandra holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
